HR encompasses hiring, employment branding, onboarding, benefits, legal paperwork, workers’ compensation, ADA, equal employment opportunity issues, terminations, layoffs and so much more. Most small companies don’t have a full time HR person so having resources at your fingertips is vital.

For general information on HR issues, the Society for Human Resource Management is a great place to get information on workplace isses in HR. There is a local chapter in Medina County that has monthly meetings as well.
